There are a further five metropolitan standing committees that meet regularly to discuss industry issues. The five metropolitan standing committees include:
Master Builders’ Contracts Committee is convened from time to time as necessary.
There are also regional committees in Geraldton, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Albany.
Construction Council
The Construction Council draws its members from the commercial sector of the building industry. It addresses current issues of relevance to the sector and makes recommendations to the Management Council on policy matters.
Housing Council
Housing Council comprises a wide cross-section of practitioners in the domestic construction sector, from major and small to medium house builders to professionals and relevant government authorities. It looks at the issues of the day and makes recommendations to Management Council on policy matters.
Safety Committee
Safety Committee tackles the ever-increasing practical and legislative requirements for better occupational health and safety across all sectors of the building industry. It reports to Management Council including making recommendations on policy.
Training Committee
The Technical and Training Committee reports to Management Council. It is charged with keeping Master Builder members abreast of changing technical requirements and with providing a wide range of training courses and material.
Membership and Marketing Committee
Membership growth and marketing of the Association and its benefits and services fall under the control of the Membership and Marketing Committee. The Committee reports to the Management Council.
Contracts Committee
The Contracts Committee has evolved as an ad hoc committee meeting as necessary to review and report on the development of contract documents and contract administration. Depending on content, it may report to either the Housing or Construction Council |
