Improved workplace skills increase productivity and profitability of member companies, so Master Builders offers a FREE Training Needs Analysis. This service for members identifies training needs and opportunities for members. Our training manager will visit your workplace to look at the current and future skills required by your staff to perform their duties. The analysis will formulate a training plan that can be easily implemented to improve the skills of your workplace.
The Training Department offers a wide range of courses to members and non-members. Tailoring these courses to suit the needs of our members is the primary focus of the service.

Art of Negotiation Workshop
A four hour negotiation workshop covering the theory and practice of cooperative negotiation. All participants receive a copy of the renowned text “Getting to Yes” by Fisher & Ury. It is recommended for member staff involved in contract negotiation, management or dispute resolution.
Contract Management Course
A comprehensive four hour training course in contract formation and interpretation, the claims process, variations, delays, costs and dispute resolution. The course can be run at your premises or at the Master Builders.
Media Skills Course
Master Builders in partnership with Corporate Dynamics offer a one day program aimed at showing members simple techniques that will allow you to communicate your message and not get caught out by the media.
Presentation Skills Course
This course gives you the confidence to give a presentation in a confident and professional manner. It teaches you to use your nervous energy to your benefit. You will also develop a strategy to engage your audience to get your message across effectively.
Project Management
Master Builders, in partnership with Perfect Project Planning, teaches the Critical Path Method, using Microsoft Project. This four half day course is run outside of work hours on Saturday mornings, so there is no conflict with the day to day pressures of getting things done.
Women in Building and Construction
These educational courses offer practical training tailored for female administrators and other participants in the building industry.
WA Training Awards
