The Ric New Medal for Excellence and the Ric New Rising Star Award are named after the founder of Midland Brick, a person whose success was achieved largely through entrepreneurial flair and innovativeness. These awards seek to recognise the same personal characteristics.
Both of these awards are presented annually in conjunction with the Master Builders Apprentice of the Year Awards.
